3 Bells
Interactive sound installation
The lead bell is a light sculptural form, and is rung by swinging it, there is a speaker housed in it's base.
Two imac computers in the space, speak and respond to each other through the use of
their individual speakers and microphone. Each of their voices is one unique synthesised
bell sound, and their response is to interact with each other, using change ringing
techniques contained within their programs. These two bells follow the course of the
lead bell. The installation depends on interaction from the audience.

The Christmas Number 1
The Exchange, engine room
Princes Street, Penzance, Cornwall.
Timothy Crowley and Dominick Allen.
Collaborative interactive installation
The Christmas Number One is an interactive parody of a traditional fairground or barrel organ.
Collect your Magic Christmas Coins from the front desk and deposit them in the slot
machine to purchase your unique three minutes of festive music.
Within the piece there are two interactive computer systems.
The first generates a musical response to the position of the two mice
on the control panel. The second computer records and responds to any sound events
that it hears. The collection of automated musical instruments produces a series of
electronically controlled mechanical musical events and slide projections, starting
the ball rolling in a cacophonous mouse trap run.
